The recording phase does not have to mean that the artist or the entire band relocates to a studio in another city for weeks at a time. Today, a significant part of the recording process can be carried out using the band’s own equipment and in their own spaces. This is often a sensible solution financially, and it also allows work to be scheduled when it best fits the band’s timetable.
Musicians and artists are often based in different parts of Finland and around the world. For this reason, production and recording can be carried out flexibly across multiple locations and online.
My role may include planning recording sessions, providing production guidance during the recording process, or bringing the project to completion. There is no need for everything to happen in the same place.
If the project calls for it, we can of course work in a traditional recording studio and collaborate together throughout the entire session. The best approach always depends on the songs, the band, the available technology, and the budget.
The most important thing is to find a recording workflow that serves the project in the best possible way.
